Giving and Community

Give the gift of aging with dignity

As a not-for-profit nursing home, Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab relies on the generosity of our community to sustain our organization. We are so grateful to our donors, volunteers, and sponsors who have made 95 years of care possible.

You may mail or drop off a check donation to the Home at any time. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our address is 36 Bazeberry Rd., Cordova, TN 38018.

Since a gift of appreciated securities can offer significant tax advantages, you may choose to make an annual gift of stock to Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab. Transferring stock is simple, but during the busy days of December, please allow us up to a week to process your gift. You should always consult your financial advisor before making gifts of stock.
If the securities are held by a broker or banker, you can have the securities transferred directly to the Home’s account.
Contact the Development Department, at (901) 756-3273 or via the contact form to receive transfer information.
If you are aged 70 1/2 or older, you can make a direct contribution from a traditional IRA account to qualified non-profits like Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab of up to $100,000 annually without it being considered a taxable distribution. If you are aged 72 or older, you must take a required minimum distribution annually from your traditional IRA or face tax penalties. In order for your donation to be applied to this year’s tax return, Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab must receive your donation by December 31. Distribution checks need to be made payable directly to Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab.
Please contact the Development Department at (901) 756-3273 to notify the Home of the distribution.
Any information should be reviewed by your legal or financial advisors to determine whether it is applicable to your circumstances.
