Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Unit Manager supervises the day-to-day nursing activities on a 40 bed skilled nursing unit. Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Monitoring care activity and documentation to ensure care provided is in accordance with physician's orders, care plans, and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Ensuring that the highest level of patient care if maintained at all times.
- Communicating with residents, their families, other interdisciplinary team members, and management team members regarding resident status.
- Must be sensitive to both the individual needs of employees and the needs of residents.
