Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct employee in- services
Develop monthly education calendar
Responsible for CNA and nurse orientation process as well as the general orientation process
Orient student nurses and student nurse aides
Administer MJHR TB and Flu vaccines and annual physicals
Manage TB tests for Contractors, Volunteers, and Sitters
Infection control training and monitoring
Maintain and audit antibiotic log
Monitor current nurse and CNA licenses and renew CNA licenses
Maintain CPR train-the-trainer and conduct on-site CPR training
Responsible for Semi-annual clinical fair
Complete Worker's Comp employee incident reports, investigate incidents and provide training to staff, as needed
Input education hours into electronic system and monitor education hours for completion
Co-Chair Safety Committee – assist in organizing safety fair
Assist with safety drills
Reviews weekly tags cited in TN and provides education to staff to alleviate likely issues within the Home
Provide direct RN supervision as needed
Assist in the development, administration, and coordination of department policies and procedures
Serve on, participate in, and attend various committees as required.
Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations, as well as professional standards, and make recommendations on changes in policies and procedures to the Administrator/designee
Participate in the Nurse On-Call and Manager on Duty rotations
