Description and Responsibilities
Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab (MJHR) is actively looking for dedicated individuals to join our Environmental Services / Housekeeping team.
Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet Facility needs.
- Handles all laundry in accordance with sanitary guidelines.
- Sorts all soiled laundry into appropriate categories. Lifts and carries loads of laundry to / from cleaning equipment.
- Washes, dries, folds, and hangs all laundry neatly and properly.
- Identifies personal laundry with resident’s name and re-marks personal clothing items, as needed.
- Returns clean resident laundry to appropriate rooms and supply areas.
- Cleans dryer filters every 2 (two) hours, keeps laundry area clean, machines dusted, and floor mopped weekly.
